The Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) has rendered a judgment revoking the Ministry of Industry's List of Hazardous Substances of 2003 (which contains over one thousand restricted chemicals), together with amendments made to the list in 2004. While the final judgment was published in Thailand's Royal Gazette, details of the case before the court were not provided.
The judgment effectively removes all hazardous substances from the list of restricted substances under the Hazardous Substances Act and will impact the efforts of six regulatory agencies responsible for administering such substances. We will continue to monitor this situation for any further developments.
